00:00 Alright, Top Shot Challenge 2015 Behind the Scenes.

00:08 We're in the canyon section of the tank trap and there's a lot of prep work that's got

00:13 to go on before a rig can come screaming in here.

00:16 Because during the year, this section here has been filled in with people trying to get

00:20 through the tank trap.

00:21 They drop rocks and stumps and dirt in here so they can get up over this ledge.

00:22 When tank trap goes, this is going to be the deep end of it.

00:23 So we've got a lot of people.

00:42 So we're going to be doing a lot of prep work.

01:12 Behind the scenes, this is what you don't see on the DVD is what goes on behind the

01:18 action.

01:19 Now, what are we doing here today?

01:20 We're doing tech inspection.

01:21 Every competitor, after they got voted in, before they showed up, had a list of requirements

01:26 to add to meet.

01:27 From DOT helmets to roll cages being tied in properly, battery hull down, proper seat

01:31 belt mount.

01:32 And we also give a general inspection of the vehicle.

01:34 Look at the length mounts, length of construction, brake line retainment and all that kind of

01:39 stuff.

01:40 And make sure that if there is an issue, we can find it now and give them 24 hours to

01:44 do that.

01:45 Last minute thing, just went into some new suspension here, some crow fender coil overs

01:56 and bypass shocks.

01:57 And just last minute trying to mount these reservoirs.

02:00 I've got two of them now, so a little extra than what I'm used to.

02:05 But besides that, I'm running a turbo off an '04 Cummins.

02:10 It's got 100 horsepower injectors in there and two pump mods.

02:14 And it seems to roll full and run pretty good.

02:17 So here's some of the ingenuity and the thought process that go into the drivers and builders

02:24 He's got a very deep oil pan coming down.

02:25 And he built this tapered skid plate device to protect his oil pan from rocks.

02:32 That's thinking out of the box.
