00:00 You might have noticed on the side of the building it doesn't say Emory Motorsports
00:14 on the side, it just says bakery in German because we're just in here kind of mixing
00:20 Porsche ingredients until we come up with something that tastes just right.
00:33 Rod walk us through what we're driving here.
00:36 So this is a 1960 356 B Coupe that was a barn find out of Oregon.
00:41 I had this concept years ago to build kind of the ultimate 356.
00:46 As if Porsche continued evolving the 356 platform just like they did with the 911, then I was
00:54 introduced to somebody that was crazy enough to go down this path with me.
00:59 You know he wanted to build the craziest, wildest 356 ever done and you know I very
01:06 much get motivation from those kind of projects is how can we really push the envelope, how
01:10 can we take this to where no one's taken it before and we kind of just fed off each other
01:16 you know originally it was you know I'm a race car driver at heart so how can we put
01:19 a sequential gearbox in here, how can we get flour out of it, how can we make this thing
01:24 you know really wag the tail on the corners.
01:32 With the 356 Porsche built the car from 1948 until 1965 and that's where it stopped and
01:40 there's always a part of me that's like I wish Porsche would have continued building
01:43 them and so I kind of take that upon myself so we just started building the concept from
01:48 there and went with 964 full coilover suspension, G50 five-speed transmission, we put our newest
01:58 four-cylinder 911 twin turbocharged engine in the car which makes 390 horsepower and
02:04 then from there just you know started adding components and parts to the car that were
02:09 inspired by the 935.
02:16 That's a lot of boost.
02:23 Even from the passenger seat I can feel how stiff it is, the chassis is just so dialed
02:33 in.
02:34 It embodies that cliche of driving to the track and back.
02:39 Exactly.
02:40 This is intended to be a track car for the street that you can really enjoy you know
02:47 whether it's driving to the track and tracking it hard or just being out having fun in the
02:51 hills with your friends.
