00:26 English sports car and unleashing it on tracks and streets across the world.

00:30 When you say badass cars, this is what comes to most people's minds.

00:33 We think Carroll's outdone himself though, and

00:35 just today with the 2011 Shelby Super Snake.

00:39 750 horsepower and a factory warranty.

00:42 We think it's badder than that one and faster, and

00:44 we're about to find out by taking them to the drag strip.

00:55 The 427 Cobra is what it's always been.

00:59 It's the nastiest thing you'd ever wanna drive with four wheels.

01:03 It's an in your face, punch them in the eye, no creature comforts,

01:09 no holds barred, the cup holder, it's whoever's sitting beside you.

01:15 they're gonna wear what's ever in that drink.

01:21 So it's a nasty, nasty car, and that's exactly what you want sometimes.

02:33 And I couldn't get them to put more than 500 horsepower in it for a long time.

02:46 suspension, change the suspension and crank it up to 750.

02:51 Thought we'd build a super snake and we've been successful doing that.

02:54 There's quite a bit of demand for it, even during the recession.

02:58 The recession's been pretty tough on us up here in Las Vegas.

03:05 The super snake on the road course is very refined.

03:09 It does everything just exactly as you'd expect it to.

03:12 It doesn't seem to really take any effort.

03:14 It's got a ton of power.

03:16 So if you get on the throttle too fast, it will just light the tires up,

03:20 which is fun if you can catch it.

03:31 Two very, very different cars.

03:42 We got to experience both today on a road course.

03:45 Cobra, brutally fast.

03:47 It's that gorilla in the boxing ring.

03:49 Super snake, you can go just as fast in a Mustang that's actually much

03:55 larger with a lot of creature comforts.

03:57 But it's easy to drive, it's easy to live with, and

04:01 it's silly fast on the drag strip.

04:40 If I had to pick one car for the weekend to go out and have fun and play,

04:43 it would be the Cobra, without a doubt.

04:46 If I had to pick a car that you can drive every day, commute in,

04:50 effortless clutch, I mean, it's like a stock Mustang.

04:55 But when you put the hammer down, it's ungodly fast.

04:58 That would be the Super Snake.

05:00 Performance numbers and creature comforts and all that involved,

05:04 the Super Snake, we think, is the baddest Shelby of all time.

05:07 The good old days, my friend, is today.
