00:00 All the stakes are here Donnie for this Wednesday around MLB. We start in Tampa
00:09 at the Trump where the Rays were the favored side yesterday to take a 1-0
00:14 series advantage over the Texas Rangers. Except it was bad defense from Tampa, an
00:19 inability at the plate and the Rangers blanked the Rays winning 4-0 over
00:26 Tampa. But today DRS it's the Rays again as a -158 home money line
00:32 favorite looking to extend their season and force a winner take all game number
00:38 three. Does Tampa Donnie do just that today against Texas? Yes they do but on a
00:44 side note here you saw yesterday you know Philadelphia Phillies 45 plus
00:47 thousand every other stadium they're rocking and rolling sold out and it
00:51 looked like just a mid-season. 19,000 people showed up for that game.
00:58 So as I say man imagine Ben if they got a brand new stadium and dropped it down
01:02 in Tampa they'd have 19,000 again for that playoff game. They don't care
01:05 about baseball in Tampa so stop with it. It's gonna take a new ballpark to get
01:09 everybody out there. We're working really well with the Marlins. We actually think
01:12 have less attendance now than when they had a pro player stadium back in the day
01:15 as what it's called. But let's get back to the game today and let's line this
01:18 thing up. If we're looking again on the card itself I'm saying to myself you
01:22 know what what's the pitching matchup and what does it come down to yesterday?
01:25 I thought yesterday Tampa had the better pitcher on the mound. It didn't work out
01:28 that way. Montgomery was fantastic but if we reline it up again today eight
01:32 pitchers on the card number two over the past 60 days of Major League Baseball
01:36 with XFIP today 3.01 that's Zach Efflin. So where does Nathan Evalde come in?
01:41 Eight out of eight pitchers and by a wide margin here a 5.03 XFIP number and
01:48 a 9.30 ERA. If you even want to take a look at just the FIP itself 7.88.
01:53 He's been a disaster but again you're talking about a Tampa Bay offense that
01:57 didn't show up yesterday. So it's not as if you have like the 27 Yankees over
02:01 there ready to wreak havoc on Evalde. That's not the case and it is a true
02:05 pitchers ballpark. But having said that and lining it up I'm leaning towards
02:09 Tampa Bay. It's all hands on deck for them even though technically it should
02:12 be for the Rangers because they want to close the situation out today. They're
02:16 not gonna burn starters and extra bullpen guys just to get through this
02:19 game knowing they have an extra game in their back pocket here. So if I'm just
02:23 being objective I can't see Tampa Bay losing but then again Ben yesterday I
02:27 didn't see them losing either and they did.
