00:00 We've said bye bye to summer and as the evenings get colder and darker, the first thing you
00:05 might want to do after work is to light a candle and snuggle up with a new show. And
00:09 well, you're in luck because this autumn there's an eclectic range of TV shows coming to screens
00:14 for you to choose from. From BBC dramas to Bake Off, let's take a little look at the
00:19 list.
00:20 First up, if reality TV is your thing, then you can look forward to the newest series
00:25 of Big Brother. Back with a bang after a five year hiatus, the new series will be presented
00:29 by AJ Adudu and Will Best. The show will be airing on ITV2 from October 8th. The show
00:34 will even continue to stream online into the late hours of the night, so if you find you
00:39 can't sleep, there's always that to keep you company.
00:42 Now if we have many Stephen Graham fans watching, you're in for a right treat because heading
00:47 over to Netflix, an ambitious new thriller entitled Bodies will see characters attempt
00:51 to solve the same murder four times. It's based on the graphic novel of the same name
00:56 by Cy Spencer and stars the aforementioned Stephen Graham, known for The Irishman and
01:00 Line of Duty. Spanning across four different time periods, four detectives will be linked
01:05 in trying to solve the same murder case. But it isn't quite a cold case sitting unsolved,
01:10 it's the same person being killed four times. That's set to stream from October 19th on
01:15 Netflix.
01:17 On the topic of Stephen Graham, if you're a fan of the hit fast-paced kitchen drama film
01:21 Boiling Point, then fans will be joyous to hear that a spin-off to the movie will be
01:26 premiering on BBC from October. Picking up six months from where the film left off, the
01:30 new show will explore head chef Carly and her team juggling the challenges of running
01:34 a new restaurant, Point North.
01:38 Now if you're less of a thriller fan and like more of a historical watch, fans of Netflix's
01:42 The Crown will be happy to hear that the new series is set to return to screens this autumn.
01:47 Whilst an official release date is yet to be announced, we can expect it any time now.
01:52 The sixth and final season of the show will explore Princess Diana's death. Dominic West,
01:56 who plays Charles in the show, said this season will be as tumultuous as it gets as it will
02:01 focus on the tragedy.
02:04 Turning to another drama based on a true story, we have one that has been facing a little
02:08 bit of controversy. BBC's The Reckoning is a four-part series and biographical account
02:13 of the life of the infamous Jimmy Savile. Steve Coogan will play Savile and the show
02:18 will use victim testimonies and dramatised scenes to trace the life and horrific crimes
02:23 committed by the disgraced TV personality. It's been argued that the chilling drama should
02:28 place more focus on the victims than the perpetrator, whilst others have said it's important to
02:32 retell this tale in order to stop it from happening again in the future. That's set
02:36 to air from October 10th.
02:38 Next, fans of Doctor Who might be buzzing for the new season, but set to air in November,
02:44 we'll see David Tennant and Catherine Tate return for a trio of specials to celebrate
02:49 the show's 60th anniversary. And it's thought to set the scene for Nakuti Gatwa, who some
02:55 may recognise as Eric from Netflix's Sex Education, who will inherit the sonic screwdriver
03:01 over the festive season.
