00:00 There's a lot of pathways up and down the country and I wouldn't have a clue how they
00:10 run but I really enjoyed my time in the Yorkshire pathway. I think it was a really cool experience
00:19 going through Calderdale, West Yorkshire, Yorkshire and then into England. I didn't
00:25 get in my first England trial. I was sent to and then I went back the year after and
00:29 got in. How deflating was that? England knocked back? Did you think this is me done or did
00:37 it make you redouble your efforts? If I'm honest, I walked in and I thought wow, I could
00:44 do with a growth spurt here guys. Because some of the girls, because obviously it was
00:50 kind of the first time I was surrounded by people that were from different areas. All
00:57 the London girls, the South West girls, we'd probably played against them for Yorkshire
01:02 Jets stuff, with the Yorkshire Jets Academy. But never had just walked into a room full
01:09 of quite a mixture of people that I did and I thought oh my gosh, this is intense. That
01:17 was a pre-growth spurt for me. So I was pretty small. And how old were you, 15-ish? Yeah,
01:27 I must have been about 15, yeah. And I remember looking up to my dad who took me in on the
01:34 balcony and I looked up and thought what's going on? And he was like don't worry, you'll
01:38 be fine. So I think I walked in thinking, you know, whatever happens, happens. Which
01:44 was quite mature of my 15-year-old self. But yeah, when I didn't get in, I was good. I
01:51 was upset and then I thought it's okay, you know, try again next year. And I think it
01:59 was a knock back that obviously took time to process.
