Aston Villa devoid of quality and urgency as Everton take advantage to progress in Carabao Cup

Post-match reaction from Villa Park for Aston Villa's 2-1 defeat to Everton in the Carabao Cup third round.

00:00 Aston Villa are out of the Carabao Cup at the third round stage. The first time

00:17 in and they executed it very well. Villa on the other hand that's probably one of

00:21 the worst performances if not the worst I've seen under Unai Emery. I think that

00:25 Stevenage won here at home last season in the FA Cup probably tips that and a

00:30 few others as well but this is definitely one of the worst. Just devoid

00:33 of quality, no desire ready to go forward. The first half no real chance of

00:37 creation whatsoever. In the second it was an awful start defensively. Ezri Conza

00:42 was skipped past by Dominic Calvert-Lewin and he scored to make 2-0 and it was a

00:46 really poor back pass to Conza from Yuri Tieleman as well that led to that goal

00:51 and as I say just not really any desire, no real quality going forward. I've just

00:56 seen the scoreboard behind me changing it wasn't 0-0 it was 2-1 to

01:00 Everton and yeah just really disappointing on the whole. The fans are

01:03 quite flat throughout you can't really blame them for it.

01:06 Everton meanwhile really buoyant in the away end and was acting as if it was

01:10 some sort of final here or getting to the final. They were an amazing away

01:14 crowd here it must be said but very disappointing from Aston Villa. You can
