00:12 Two pilots were died after their planes crashed into each other during landing at the National
00:16 Championship Air Races in Reno to the shock of horrified onlookers.
00:21 Nick Macy and Chris Rushing were confirmed dead by the Reno Air Racing Association and
00:25 were known as expertly skilled pilots and gold winners in the T6 class.
00:30 According to the official 2023 NCAA race plan schedule, the T6 class gold race started at
00:36 one point for 5pm and was set to end at 2, 15pm which is when the two pilots collided
00:43 as the race ended.
00:44 Macy was reportedly flying the 6CAT aircraft out of Tulake, California while Rushing was
00:49 flying the Baron's Revenge out of Van Nuys, California.
00:53 Rushing won Sunday's race and was a defending champion.
00:56 There were no other reported injuries and the cause of the incident is being investigated.
