Therapeutic Stocks Rising Premarket - IMVT, ROIV, PLRX, FEMY
Transcript
00:00 Let's get to that action.
00:02 I am BT is the one jumping big 34% in the pre market Tuesday
00:07 Immuno van announcing data from a phase one trial of auto
00:12 immune disease.
00:13 Its parent also getting the lift.
00:15 Of course, Roy vent Sciences.
00:18 That's ROIV.
00:19 If you guys want to check out that ticker that added about
00:22 10% in reaction and there's other stocks that are moving to
00:26 right.
00:27 We also have PLRX plant therapeutics.
00:32 They announced that they're hosting a conference call and
00:35 webcast right now.
00:37 It just started at 8 AM.
00:38 So look to see if that gets the lift.
00:40 Also, they're going to be putting out interim results on
00:43 their phase two trial.
00:45 And then just to make things even bigger, we get some more
00:49 news, right?
00:49 You can take a look at a smaller name.
00:51 Femi.
00:51 That's F E M Y.
00:53 And that looks like it secured FDA clearance to market Fema
00:59 seed and infertility treatment solution.
01:02 So if you're not into the therapeutics today, well, guess
01:07 what?
01:07 They're going to be talking about it.
01:09 So what do you see here, Dennis?
01:10 And how could we maybe play this?
01:12 I just see obviously a lot of these stocks.
01:15 It's interesting when you come in and you get four pieces of
01:19 pharmaceutical news here, moving stock significantly here.
01:22 So just doing the math, I CPT probably going to open up
01:26 about 70 or 80 percent.
01:28 It's 0.46 percent of XPI.
01:31 I am VT is already up 59 percent.
01:33 It's point eight seven percent of XPI.
01:36 And then our OIV another one here is trading up 17 percent.
01:39 It's one percent of XPI.
01:41 So you could go like this quickly doing the math.
01:43 That's like a point one eight percent move for just our OV
01:47 adding up what XPI should be up.
01:49 I am VT point eight seven times point five nine.
01:53 Oh, that's about a point five percent move.
01:56 And then you get the ICPT and that's probably like a point
01:58 three five percent move.
02:00 So those three components are given XPI at least a one
02:03 percent pop.
02:04 That is what it is up right now.
02:06 So it is pricing that in.
02:07 So you can clearly see why XPI is trading up point nine
02:10 three percent with the market down.
02:11 It's one of the only ETFs that's up.
02:13 And it's because it's got three of those pharmaceutical
02:15 names.
02:16 I don't know if there's peer plays.
02:17 I don't know if there's other going to be smaller
02:18 pharmaceutical companies moving here this morning.
02:21 But that's a big move here for XPI.
02:22 Again, I do have a day trading position in there.
02:25 OK, so let's back it up and look at these individually.
02:28 The reason for the move and then we could get into the
02:31 price action.
02:33 First of all, we just you just got to laugh when you see
02:36 this ICPT, Dennis.
02:38 Remember back when we were doing the show in 2014 and
02:43 they came out with drug news and it went up like five
02:46 hundred percent in like two days because they came up
02:51 with a live.
02:52 They I mean, this thing was going to cure everything
02:57 by Larry cirrhosis of the liver, not I mean everything
03:01 they cured all liver.
03:04 Everything is drug and and and also and you could you
03:10 could bet a nickel on it.
03:11 Bank of America upgraded that bet, upgraded that stock
03:16 that day to five hundred is the day that it traded over
03:19 450 and the whole world had to be in it.
03:23 And now it's getting taken over at 19 bucks.
03:26 So it's a it's a premium to what it was.
03:30 But it's just I want to point out like the dangers of
03:33 you know, of the stocks and moving on drug trials.
03:36 This is an actual takeover and now it's getting done.
03:39 But if you bought this stock any time in the last, you
03:43 know, nine years, I don't even know some people are
03:46 getting their money back.
03:48 It's 19 bucks.
03:49 Is it all cash?
03:50 Yeah, it's all cash.
03:52 Yeah. OK, well, so we get the pop up.
03:54 You get the relief pop here for people who are beat up.
03:57 But I mean, everybody's beat up to your point here.
03:59 Everybody who pretty much bought this thing the last
04:01 decade is probably down money.
04:02 There's a few who maybe bought the last couple of
04:04 months up money on this move.
04:05 But it's you know, if you were in this thing from two
04:08 to hundred dollars or hundred dollars or four hundred
04:11 dollars, I think it was even higher than that.
04:13 Obviously, you're taking taking out the board at 19.
04:15 You're probably not that excited about it.
04:17 And now let's go to the FMI.
04:19 That's the big move.
04:20 I mean, that that's the one that's up 200 percent
04:23 trade in a lot of volume around the psychological
04:27 buck level.
04:28 Did anybody have an inkling on this one yesterday?
04:30 No, definitely not.
04:32 No. Looking at the daily charts.
04:34 Yeah, I don't think so.
04:35 It's sitting out near lows.
04:36 Looks like it's going to zero, but it's pretty much on that chart.
04:39 And now, you know, you get this drug approval here.
04:42 So this kind of came out of the blue.
04:44 And it's a big pop.
04:45 I was watching the action in this thing,
04:47 and it started popping right away up to 50 cents and then 60 cents,
04:51 70 cents, 80 cents.
04:53 It was just hitting my filters.
04:54 And then, you know, boom, obviously up to a dollar here now.
04:57 So it's a big move here, too.
04:59 It's a good day for pharmaceutical stocks because they've really been in the gutter.
05:02 There's even one more SLNO up about one hundred and forty six percent.
05:08 Oh, fine. There, too. Let's go look at.
05:09 So here is this one also announcing positive statistically
05:13 significant top line results.
05:15 And this is for another syndrome, Prater-Willi syndrome.
05:20 So it looks like a lot of companies coming out with data on the same day.
05:25 Definitely helping out here.
05:27 SLNO. Look at that.
05:29 So I'm an XPI just for the ARB this morning, and that's why I'll probably
05:32 be getting out of it here near the open.
05:35 But question is, is there maybe I shouldn't be in there for the ARB.
05:38 Maybe I should be in longer term.
05:39 Can this turn around the story?
05:41 You get four, you know, XPI sitting here, fallen 10 percent the last 10 days.
05:46 I mean, it's sitting not that far from its
05:50 covid lows or not cover low side like that.
05:53 The well, I guess it's October lows.
05:56 Yeah, it's through it's it's back to its May lows.
05:58 XPI bottomed in May at sixty two.
06:00 So, I mean, we are sitting at a new fifty two week low here for XPI.
06:04 It's getting a nice relief pop this morning because so many of its holdings
06:08 getting pops, three of them directly getting pops this morning, significant pops.
06:12 Is this like the possible thing to start sparking a turnaround
06:18 or is the drug stock still just in the gutter and you just got to sell any reps?
