The lorry driver involved in a fatal accident in Putrajaya on Sept 20 that claimed the lives of two motorcyclists is expected to be charged on Monday (Sept 25).

Putrajaya OCPD Asst Comm A. Asmadi Abdul Aziz said the investigation papers were referred to the deputy public prosecutor and has been instructed to charge the driver with causing death by reckless or dangerous driving under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act on Monday.

00:49 Police said the driver also tested negative for drugs and has no records of traffic offences.
00:54 Meanwhile, the Road Transport Department is in the midst of compiling its inspection
00:59 and safety audit into the trailer.
