00:00 Hi, I'm Stephen, National Worlds Digital Trends Writer,
00:02 and welcome back to another episode of Screenbabel Weekend Watch,
00:05 where I talk you through the best shows and films coming to streaming and TV this weekend and beyond.
00:12 So we'll kick things off on Friday with Always Sunny in Philadelphia, season 16.
00:18 The perennial sitcom, it's been around for the best part of 15 years now, more than in fact,
00:24 and it's coming to Netflix all in one go with eight new episodes.
00:28 A couple of months after it was released in the US and it got a popular reception over there,
00:34 and I imagine will be a very good follow up to the last 15 seasons of the sitcom.
00:38 Then we have also on Friday and also on Netflix, a romantic comedy film, Love at First Sight,
00:46 which based on the plot, it's a crime.
00:49 They didn't call it Love at First Flight because it follows two people who meet
00:54 on a flight from New York to London, fall in love on the flight,
00:59 and then lose each other in the departure's lounge, or the arrival's lounge rather,
01:03 and then try and find each other in the mega city that is London.
01:09 It's essentially Before Sunrise, but set on a plane,
01:11 and yeah, that will be coming to Netflix on Friday, well worth a watch.
01:15 Then we have also on Friday, something a little bit different, Coco Chanel Unbuttoned.
01:20 This is a documentary feature length doc about the iconic French fashion designer,
01:26 whose designs challenged prevalent ideas in the late 19th, early 20th century about
01:33 women and power and senses of propriety and all of that, all of the like.
01:40 And that will be coming to BBC Two at 9pm,
01:42 and that will be available on iPlayer shortly after.
01:46 Then on Monday, we have a travel series, Jimmy Doherty's New Zealand Adventure,
01:51 where the TV presenter goes to New Zealand to visit farmers and produce makers who are
01:56 living an idyllic lifestyle through their passion for food and the food industry.
02:02 It's a bit of an envious watch, I imagine.
02:05 Then on Monday, again, the show that all of you will have been waiting for,
02:10 it would be remiss of me not to mention this, Neighbours, a new chapter,
02:13 comes to Amazon Freebie with one episode on the 18th,
02:19 and then episodes release Monday to Fridays daily.
02:22 We see Toadie and the regular sort of crew return,
02:29 as well as appearances again from Guy Pearce and the OCs,
02:35 Michelle Barton makes an appearance as well.
02:39 It's got mixed reviews so far, but I'm sure Neighbours fans won't care.
02:43 Then on Tuesday the 19th, we have The Truth About The Skinny Jab,
02:48 which is an Anna Richardson fronted documentary
02:52 about the miracle weight loss drug, semglutide,
02:57 if I'm pronouncing that right, I may well not be.
02:59 And Anna dives into the lesser known side effects of the drug
03:04 to see if it is really all it's cracked up to be.
03:07 That will be coming to Channel 4 at 8pm on Tuesday the 19th.
03:10 And then the last preview I've got for you this week is The Supermodels,
03:15 which comes to Apple TV on Wednesday the 20th.
03:18 It's a four-episode documentary series about the careers of Naomi Campbell,
03:24 Cindy Crawford, Linda Evangelista, and Christy Terlington.
03:31 And they all appear in the series to look back over their careers
03:34 and sort of reminisce about how they changed the modelling and fashion world.
03:38 So yeah, Apple TV, so check that one out.
03:41 So that's all from me.
03:42 Thanks very much for listening and join me again next week
03:45 for more Screenbable Weekend Watch recommendations.
