Take a look inside the ACT Jewish Community Centre

The ACT Jewish Community was established in 1951 and the National Jewish Memorial Centre was opened in 1971.  The centre is home to an Orthodox and a Progressive Congregation each of which holds weekly services.

00:32 And these are all donated privately by members of the community.

00:37 And it's very expensive to commission one of these because it's all handwritten, but

00:43 with ink on parchment, which takes maybe over a year to prescribe to write.

00:48 We're talking about 10, 20,000 US dollars to write one of these, if not more than that.
