00:00 The remains of veteran newscaster Muhammad Zaman Goh Abdullah, prominently known as Raymond
00:07 Goh, have been laid to rest at the Bukit Kiarah Muslim Cemetery in Kuala Lumpur.
00:14 Goh passed away on Tuesday morning after battling the effects of a stroke.
00:19 He was 62.
00:21 Funeral prayers were held at Masjid Atta Qah in Taman Tun Dr Ismail after the Azhar prayer.
00:29 Family, friends and colleagues gathered to pay their last respects to Goh, who was described
00:34 as one of the nicest and most kind-hearted souls.
00:38 "Today is a very difficult day for TV3 and all of us who know Raymond.
00:46 I have worked with him for 37 years, growing up together in TV3.
00:53 So today is not just hard for me, but for everyone.
00:58 Because previously I lost a friend, Robert Lam and also Dato' Mahdi Luqman.
01:05 Now Raymond is gone.
01:08 I don't want to be sad, but what I want to remind everyone is that Raymond is a kind-hearted
01:16 person.
01:17 He is very jovial and he always wants to make others comfortable.
01:22 He is serious, but in his seriousness he is a sincere person.
01:27 Raymond is a good friend, but he is also a legend.
01:33 His voice is hard to forget."
01:38 "In these many years that I've known him, he's never actually said a bad word about
01:46 anybody.
01:47 He's always been a very good mentor, especially when I joined because I think he was already
01:53 at TV3 in 1986.
01:55 So when we joined, of course he was mentoring us.
01:59 He's always been very kind, very patient.
02:03 I think TV3 has lost, not just TV3, I think the Malaysian media industry has lost an icon."
02:09 "When was the last time you met him?
02:12 When was the last time you were in touch?"
02:14 "The last time I met him was at TV3 when I was doing Money Matters.
02:18 He was still reading Nightline with Beast World.
02:21 So I always met him at the makeup room.
02:25 And then we were bowling together, but when he was in the hospital, I went to visit him
02:32 at the hospital.
02:34 So, very sad."
02:37 "If you ask anyone, you won't find anyone saying a bad thing about him.
02:43 He's not very well-known.
02:46 He's a gentleman, he's a very nice person.
02:50 Everyone doesn't dislike him.
02:53 He's the nicest person that you will ever know."
02:57 Gore began his career as a newscaster on the 7 o'clock news
03:01 before anchoring TV3's Nightline News Bulletin.
03:05 The veteran newscaster with more than 30 years of experience in broadcasting
03:10 also coached individuals on how to speak well.
03:14 He also regularly posted motivational videos on TikTok.
03:19 "Like they say, don't sweat the small stuff.
03:23 Stay happy."
