00:07at the Rawdat-ul-Sakinah Muslim Cemetery in Kuala Lumpur on Monday morning.
00:12Earlier, prayers were held at the Surah At-Tarbiyah Al-Islamiyah Taman Melewa in Gombak before
00:18the body was taken for burial at the cemetery.
00:21More than 200 people, including family members, relatives, friends and fellow artists, paid
00:26their last respects to the legend.
00:29The deceased died due to old age at his residence in Taman Melewa on Saturday afternoon.
00:35His son, 62-year-old Nasir Khan, said his father died peacefully surrounded by family.
00:42He said that his late father had previously experienced a fever and difficulty breathing
00:47but did not have any chronic illnesses.
00:50Ahmad Nawab began his music career at the age of 16 and went on to be awarded the 7th
00:57by the Ministry of Culture, Arts and Heritage in 2006.
01:02The recognition is the highest national award for artists, especially in the field of music.
