‘This Morning saved my life’ says woman who found out she cancer after watching breast examination on show

A woman who watched a live breast examination on This Morning says the show saved her life after she discovered a cancerous lump.  Prya Kaura, 40, watched the show’s resident doctor Sara Kayatt gave a live examination on the show back in March. It was this that made Ms Kaura carry out her own examination.  She said: “I checked my breasts and used the same technique and instantly felt a lump.  “They have caught it early enough for it to be treated, but I would not have caught it had I not have been watching This Morning.  “I owe you a debt of gratitude.”

00:00 I just happened to look up at that moment

00:01 when Leanne was on there, thankfully,

00:05 and I was pretty surprised at seeing her.

00:09 There was a demonstration happening at that moment in time

00:12 and I sort of was quite surprised,

00:15 you know, that Leanne seemed quite young.

00:17 And I kind of thought,

00:18 "Well, she's really brave to be on there."

00:20 And I checked my breasts along with Dr. Sarah

00:25 and I used the same technique that she was using.

00:29 Pretty much instantly, I felt a lump.

00:31 - Wow. - Yeah.

00:32 - And what did you think?

00:34 Were you worried?

00:35 - Well, I sort of thought, "It's probably nothing.

00:37 "I've caught it early enough for it to be treated.

00:42 "if I had not been watching this morning

00:44 "at that moment in time."

00:44 I'm really clear about that.

00:47 Had you not been doing that piece,

00:48 I sort of owe you a debt of gratitude, really,

00:55 And that person that was saved was me.
