00:00 How was the journey to victory?
00:20 Exactly like that. I told them yesterday that was going to happen. I didn't want to tell
00:25 the crowd so there was a bit of emotion there.
00:27 How do you feel after that?
00:31 Great. We all worked so hard and planned everything to leave moments like this. Those moments
00:37 are going to stick with us. To see the crowd so connected with the team again and celebrate
00:43 in a big match like today with the history of these clashes, I think it's something great.
00:48 So very happy.
00:49 What a performance. What a contribution.
00:54 Especially the first goal we gave away, we talked about it, you lose the ball inside
00:58 the first two passes after regaining it against this team. You are kaput. We did it again.
01:03 In the second half they could have scored but it was overturned. For the rest, the will,
01:12 the determination and the eagerness of the team, the way it shows and that will to win
01:16 and that mentality to go and go and go, I'm so proud of.
01:20 What's the magic behind the goal you scored last season?
01:26 I prefer Bukayo putting it in the back of the net much earlier and the other chances
01:30 that we had. But if it doesn't happen away it has to happen another way. A team needs
01:35 different tools to win football matches. And it needs the capacity as well to react which
01:41 I think we did really well in the first half straight away. We scored the goal and that
01:44 made the difference and I think that set the tone as well and some calmness to the team.
01:49 So really good.
01:50 Did you reflect on the 95 minutes beforehand?
01:57 I think a tremendous performance when you look at how he needs to dominate his area
02:03 and the presence that is needed, how he breaks out play, how he glides the team together
02:08 in many moments when the team was stretching a little bit. He was really dominant and then
02:13 obviously he produced a magic moment to win us the game. So really happy with him.
02:18 Is it as much about mentality when Declan Rice has that opportunity as it is about your
02:26 technical ability to take a chance like that? When you have a moment where you need someone
02:31 to grab the initiative, do you think that for some reason someone like Declan Rice has
02:35 the hat?
02:36 Yeah, but obviously we can do it. We did it yesterday. But yesterday your heartbeat is
02:41 at 80 and now it's at 190. To produce the same level of quality there when the pressure
02:48 is on and it's just that moment, it's just unique and you need to have that quality,
02:53 that sentiment, that composure and he showed it today and it's there.
02:57 Can you tell us a little bit about how he's fitted into the dressing room and is he showing
03:02 the kind of leadership that we're expecting as well?
03:06 Very natural. He's a great kid. I think he's got a good mixture between being extremely
03:12 demanding with everybody, with himself and then a bit of banter as well and being around
03:18 the boys and the staff in a really humble way. I think he's fitting in brilliantly.
03:23 Is he wanting to add more goals to his game?
03:32 For sure. When you see the technical ability he has and how he executes it in these moments,
03:38 his range, when he's shooting from range, his accuracy, the power he generates with
03:42 no space. Both legs to be fair, he can do it with both feet. He's got the timing as
03:47 well to arrive in the box.
03:50 The position I think will determine a lot how many goals he will score because the idea
03:54 is about how consistent you are in certain spaces arriving there. But he's got ability
03:58 to do that.
03:59 How important is it to have that momentum at these points now?
04:15 For every team when you look at the competition, for every team it's like game one. If you
04:19 don't win the first one, the second one, and it's still 34 games to go. So just focus on
04:25 the game and play with more naturality and the result will come. If you deserve it at
04:31 the end, after 38 games you will be where you deserve. I think we can only focus on
04:35 that because it's still very, very early.
04:37 How long do you anticipate Thomas Partey will be out?
04:45 I don't know. Unfortunately he got injured in training and he doesn't look good. We need
04:49 some more tests but I believe he's going to be out for weeks.
04:53 How happy are you with the level you are in terms of the win?
05:08 Very happy. I think we played four games, we deserve to win four games. It could have
05:12 been very different but the margins that we are arriving at in the later stages of the
05:18 game doesn't reflect what the team has done before. There are things that are still in
05:24 our control that we can do better and the team will try to progress and evolve in that
05:29 direction to close games earlier and win them easier.
05:33 How does it feel to have a very unwon win?
05:45 Fabio, every player has a chance to do that. We decided to start with Kai and we knew Fabio
05:56 would have a big impact especially in the last few minutes or final minutes. We needed
06:02 something and something has changed with Fabio. You notice it with the crowd when he steps
06:07 in. He's different from last year, he's more mature, he's more senior in the squad and
06:12 he's confident at the moment. He's high so I'm really happy to have those options.
06:18 Thank you.
06:27 What do you think of the team? I think they are a great team. I think they are a great,
