Olympic gold medallist Sir Mo Farah has said he plans to “enjoy the moment”, as he prepares for his last competitive race in London this weekend.

Speaking ahead of The Big Half half marathon, Sir Mo said: “I just want to say thank you to everyone who’s been part of me and supportive throughout … I think Sunday’s going to be very emotional but also, let’s celebrate together.” Report by Buseld. 00:00 As an athlete or a star, you can only stay at the top so long, you can't stay there forever
00:04 and you have to accept it and now move on with something that I can enjoy and can make
00:10 me happy as well as spend time with my family.
00:13 But that was the moment, honestly, it's the best feeling if I were to, if somebody were
00:18 to ask me today and go, "What was the moment of your career?
00:21 What was that moment?"
00:22 And London, as I said, nothing could beat London because every athlete dreams of becoming
00:27 an Olympic champion and to do it right in your hometown and to have the nation behind
00:33 you, whole country as one, that's the best feeling.
00:37 Yeah, I think it's going to be quite emotional but as I said, I just have to enjoy the moment
00:44 and Sunday's about being able to come out here in London and show the people who've
00:54 been involved with me, giving me support to run with them and run as a community for all
00:59 of us as well as try and do well for myself and go, "OK, I want to be competitive."
01:05 I just want to say thanks to everyone who's been part of me and supported throughout many,
01:11 many years and I just want to say, without you, I don't think anything is possible and
01:16 I just want to thank each one of you and I think Sunday's going to be very emotional
01:20 but as well as let's celebrate together because you're part of me.
