00:00We've got to start. I can see the jumper.

00:02We love you dearly on this show, but you've had some bad news this week.

00:06Well, and I've shared my love for our cat, Nala, with viewers over the years.

00:11She was the neighbour's cat who came over a few years ago,

00:15danced over the garden wall and adopted my wife.

00:17And the neighbours said she clearly loves living with you and your wife

00:21more than she loves everything with us, so she stayed.

00:23And sadly, she died yesterday.

00:24Oh, we're so sorry, Nala.

00:25She was nearly 20 years of age.

00:27She was a Maine coon, which is a very long life for a Maine coon.

00:31And she had kidney failure and she had a tumour

00:34and she was beginning not to be able to walk.

00:37And it was really time to say goodbye.

00:38So it's heartbreaking because we loved her so much

00:41and she only brought happiness into our lives.

00:43Yeah.

00:43It's how wonderful to have a friend who did nothing but bring joy.

00:47Yeah.

00:47And I can ask you both something.

00:49The vet, when they came round, they said, as chance would have it,

00:51we've got a stray.

00:53Do you want to come and meet the stray?

00:54Maybe you could... It's a kitten.

00:55And then we're thinking of going this afternoon.

00:58Oh, fantastic.

00:59I think it's great.

01:00But is it too soon?

01:01No.

01:01No, no, Giles.

01:02The vet said you can foster it from...

01:04It's a girl called Ethel.

01:06Oh, Ethel.

01:06It feels meant to be there for me.

01:08Foster her for a month, see how you both get on.

01:10If it works, you keep her.

01:11If it doesn't, we'll find another hand.

01:12Don't you do whatever you're comfortable with?

01:14Honestly, like we know how much you loved Nala.

01:17Oh, yes.

01:17Like the amount of times that we've spoken about Nala on this show is ridiculous.

01:21We're just so sorry for the both of you.

01:23We really, really are, but you're going to be fine on who you are.

01:25I think you need to wait and see if Ethel chooses you.

01:27Ah.

01:28That's the good advice.

01:31And I'm sure she will, you know.

01:31Because it was quite a struggle last night because Nala always used to sleep on my wife's tummy.

01:35Yeah.

01:36And at night.

01:37So last night I had to spend the whole night with my hat on her tummy so that she could go to sleep.

01:41Oh, bless.

01:42And I tried to be a bit like Nala, you know.

01:43Oh, don't.

01:44Bless you.

01:45So I think we need another one.

01:46Oh, please go this afternoon.

01:47And I'll let you know what happened.

01:49What we're thinking of here, you know what we are.
