Skegness Grammar School students are celebrating after receiving their GCSE results.

00:12 Erm, quite well, better than I thought, all A's and above so I'm very proud of myself

00:19 because I worked hard for them.

00:23 Now what are you hoping to do with those results?

00:25 Come back for sixth form and do music, physics and sociology hopefully.

00:29 And have you any idea what you want to do eventually?

00:32 No clue at the minute.

00:34 Oh well you've got a bit of time to work that out haven't you?

00:37 Yes, yeah.

00:38 Now Mum, it's always an emotional day for Mums as well.

00:43 How will the last few weeks be?

00:45 Erm, quite stressful but we're so proud of her.

00:48 She worked so hard and we're so grateful to all the staff at Sickness Grammar who have

00:52 been amazing throughout so we're just really proud of her.

01:11 Yes, there's a lot of excitement in the hall right, right at this moment isn't there?

01:16 So how have the results been this year?

01:19 Really, er, really pleasing, yeah.

01:23 I think there's been a lot of talk in the media about how we've been moving back to

01:29 a 2019 set of assessment approaches and I think that was well announced, well trialled.

01:37 Sixth Forms, schools, parents all knew about that and I think we've seen that today.

01:43 Really pleasingly, our students have performed extremely well.

01:48 We're looking at a great number of positive results, a lot of really cheerful families

01:56 in the hall at the moment, it's buzzing in there, it's a really great day.
