This back-to-school season, Johnathon Hines, author, and Georgia Pre-K Teacher of The Year, has partnered with Lysol to help spread the word about their HERE for Healthy Schools initiative , which promotes healthy habits in the classroom, so kids miss less school and can learn and grown and thrive. To celebrate the 5th year of the program, the brand will be supplying educators with Welcome Back Packs full of free educational resources like stickers, posters, and more. Also, a super fun healthy habits poster for educators to hang in their classes, reminding kids how to keep germs from going viral. It shows hotspots where germs are likely to hang out in the classroom and school grounds. To curb germs in the classroom, teach basic hand washing for little ones early on. And the rule of thumb is to wash with soap and water for about 20 seconds. That is about the length of the "Happy Birthday" song. Always wash up before snack time or lunch. It is also a must for teachers to use Lysol Disinfecting Wipes and Lysol Disinfectant Spray . It's a secret weapon for a disinfected learning environment. Lysol Disinfecting Wipes can be used to clean and disinfect many hard surfaces around the classroom, like desks, chairs, and doorknobs. And Lysol Disinfectant Spray can be used to disinfect many of those hard and soft surfaces that can be germ hotspots. Used as directed, Lysol kills 99.9% of viruses and bacteria on surfaces. Educators can head online and sign up for free Welcome Back Packs at lysol.com while supplies last. And you can check out all of Lysol's free lesson plans and printouts that make it easy to teach kids about healthy habits to practice in the classroom and at home.

00:02 - Well, my name is Jonathan Hines.
00:08 I am Georgia's Pre-K Teacher of the Year.
00:11 Well, since germs in my classroom are never ending battle,
00:14 the more healthy habits I can get students on board with,
00:16 the better, especially in Pre-K.
00:18 So I partnered with Lysol
00:20 in their Here for Healthy School initiative,
00:22 which is all about helping to curb the spread of germs
00:24 in classroom nationwide.
00:26 To celebrate the program's fifth year,
00:28 the brand will be providing educators with welcome backpack
00:30 full of free educational resources
00:33 like stickers, posters, and more.
00:35 Also, we created this super fun healthy habit poster
00:38 for educators to hang in their classroom,
00:40 reminding kids how to keep germs from going viral.
00:43 It shows hotspots where germs are likely to hang out
00:45 in the classroom and school ground.
00:47 I am big on teaching basic hand washing skills.
00:50 So in my classroom, we wash for about 20 seconds
00:54 with soap and water,
00:55 and that's the length of the happy birthday song.
00:57 So I encourage my students to sing,
00:59 but we always, always wash before a snack and lunchtime.
01:03 I also recommend teachers to use
01:05 the Lysol disinfecting wipes
01:06 and the Lysol disinfecting spray in their classroom,
01:09 which is a secret weapon inside of my classroom
01:11 for disinfecting the learning environment
01:13 and a must-have on the back to school list.
01:16 Lysol disinfecting wipes can be used
01:18 to clean so many hard surfaces around the classroom
01:20 like desks, chairs, doorknobs,
01:22 and Lysol disinfecting spray can be used
01:25 to disinfect hard and soft surface
01:27 where germs like to hide.
01:29 Overall, Lysol kills 99.9% of viruses and bacteria.
01:34 I am truly humbled to be named as one of the top teachers
01:39 in the state of Georgia.
01:40 And I'm excited about going back to school,
01:43 getting back in the classroom with my students.
