Lamborghini Lanzador EV Concept Introduced with 1,341 HP, First Electric Bull Previewed
A production version is coming in 2028.

Despite its history of building powerful V12 supercars, Lamborghini looks to an electric future with the Lanzador concept. The 2+2 Lanzador isn't just a design exercise, it's an early look at the automaker's first EV as it arrives in 2028 as an alternative to other higher-priced EVs.

Conceptually, the Lanzador doesn't have a lot of tangible details about the EV powertrain that sits under its bold shell. Lamborghini says it will have dual engines with high specific output providing all-wheel drive. Powering these motors would be an unspecified "high-performance battery that also provides long range", but again, details are scarce. However, Lamborghini will reach a significant figure: the Lanzador will have 1 megawatt, which corresponds to a four-digit Horsepower number.

The Aerodinamica Lamborghini Attiva system helps alleviate all that grunt, providing precise aerodynamic control of a movable front splitter, rear side wings, an extending diffuser and louvers within the air curtain system.

The Lamborghini Lanzador also features an active suspension system with air springs, adaptive shock absorbers and rear axle steering that improves performance and stability.

Despite its streamlined proportions and shape, the Lanzador concept has a number of Lamborghini signature design cues, such as geometric Gandinian arches (á la Countach) on the wheels and a Y-shaped body side accent intended to evoke the air intakes of a midsize car.

A digital instrument cluster and passenger-side display handle infotainment duties, and a center touchscreen is particularly missing. Instead, you'll find a series of buttons and switches on the console, some of which control the screens and some that control the car. And as with all modern Lamborghinis, the start button is located below a missile launch door, while an on/off switch manages the forward and reverse selection.

Lamborghini also uses sustainably tanned leather in the cabin and processes it with water left over from olive oil production.

For starters, every Lamborghini will be electrified in some form by the end of 2024, and the Lanzador will arrive in 2028 as the fourth model (and first EV) in the automaker's lineup.
