00:19 Alright.
00:21 This is a bonus review of Moretti's
00:23 because I was driving into a pizza place in Schenectady
00:26 and here's my thing.
00:28 If you've been following...
00:30 CLUB IT UP!
00:32 CLUB IT UP!
00:34 You know how I do my thing, Austin, right?
00:36 It's like, if I see a sign that looks like that...
00:40 Oh, I got it. I'm doing a food review.
00:44 Oh, you can have some after.
00:47 I love it. Average age in there, like 102.
00:51 If I see a sign like that, it's like, I gotta try this.
00:54 75 years, we just met the owner.
00:56 Moretti's started it. Another Pasquale's bought it.
01:00 Shut it down for three months. Nobody knew why.
01:02 This woman and her husband, like, we can't let it go.
01:06 It's too much part of community.
01:08 They bought it. They've been running it.
01:09 So, my father-in-law, he was retiring from the Sheriff's Department.
01:13 And my mother-in-law, she was selling cars.
01:17 That's our car lot right down there, Paymore Auto.
01:19 And they had been running food trucks and stuff,
01:22 but they grew up in Sposha, Westville,
01:24 and they really didn't want to see the place, you know?
01:27 So, that's why they bought it.
01:30 So, is it two owners then? The one who had it?
01:32 So, originally, it was Moretti.
01:35 That's the original owner.
01:37 And then they sold it to the Pasquarello family in about, I want to say the '70s.
01:41 And the Pasquarello's had it shut down.
01:45 Kind of just out of the blue.
01:47 It was three months for it to be closed.
01:49 And then they bought it, and then it took another three months to open back up.
01:52 So, we'll be going into our tent here this afternoon.
01:54 Got it.
01:56 Now, this is stunning to me, Austin.
01:59 This is stunning.
02:01 It's a steak and cheese, no cheese, marinara sauce.
02:07 Never seen it.
02:08 Walking out, you weren't in there.
02:10 I go, "What is this? Why is there marinara sauce?"
02:12 And she's like, "One of the Moretti's opened it.
02:17 They didn't want it to just be like a Philly cheesesteak.
02:20 So, like, how can we make it different?
02:22 How can we make it Schenectady?"
02:24 And they put the marinara on.
02:26 So, I have sauce and cheese.
02:31 I'm going to make an absolute mockery of everything I'm wearing right now.
02:35 It's a sloppy Joe, indeed.
02:37 Get it? I'm wearing this shirt.
02:39 Holy shit, how do I eat this?
02:45 Never had anything like it.
02:47 It's almost like I'm losing, Austin.
02:55 I don't know how to eat this.
02:57 [ambient noise]
03:23 I've never had anything like it. Is it all over my face?
03:28 The bread is very flaky and breaks, so as you can see, it was hard to eat.
03:33 By the way, I'm doing like 10 pizza reviews.
03:35 This was not in the budget.
03:37 Fat as fuck.
03:39 It's not a young kids game anymore.
03:44 I'll go 7.9.
03:46 It's a unique taste. I love it.
03:48 I'm going to go 10.11 on vibes in there, and I love the story.
03:54 Very hard to eat it the way I did.
03:56 But this is like, the shredded steak's great.
04:01 I like marinara sauce. I like it on the steak.
04:04 I like the taste of it.
04:06 Maybe a little quiet.
04:08 If you're a Schenectady person, though, and you're not eating in here once a month,
04:12 you don't owe the air to breathe in Schenectady,
04:15 because you've got to support a place like this.
04:17 7.9, great spot. Americana spot.
04:22 I made a mess. I don't think you can eat it like I was eating it.
04:25 You've got to be much more calculated.
04:27 I've got onion rings in there.
04:29 They're the big kind I wanted to see.
04:31 7.9, Moretti steak sandwich with marinara.
04:37 What a ride that was.
04:39 Yeah, sure.
04:42 I'm so sorry, brother.
04:44 Can I please?
04:45 Yeah.
04:47 Can I get one for my Snap?
04:49 Holy cow, bro, this is crazy.
04:52 Dude, you know if you take a picture in a camera roll, you can just put it right on Snap.
04:56 Oh, really?
04:57 But I like it Snap, because it shows that it was made now.
05:00 Is that true, Austin?
05:02 Put your personal profile in there.
05:03 Okay.
05:04 Yeah, I get--whatever, I don't care.
05:06 I love you.
05:07 I love you.
05:08 I appreciate you.
05:09 What do you think of the marinara on the cheese? Have you had it?
05:11 I'll try it.
05:12 What?
05:13 Yeah.
05:14 So all I do is just dig in?
05:16 It's a mess, but yeah, dig in.
05:18 Do you want me to just bite off this end?
05:20 Do whatever you want. You've got to get the marinara.
05:22 Savages out here in Schenectady.
05:26 You've never had it?
05:28 Do you live in Schenectady?
05:29 Yeah.
05:30 How have you never tried this place if you live in Schenectady?
05:32 Well, I will try it now.
05:33 Well, you just made it yourself, man.
05:34 I'm here.
05:35 I just watched you two minutes ago.
05:36 Is this going on your vlog?
05:37 Yeah, it will.
05:38 Can you eat more?
05:39 Yeah.
05:40 Fucking guy.
05:41 I love this fucking guy.
05:43 Bro.
05:44 Fucking David Poinnoy.
05:46 What?
05:47 The shitty Maretz.
05:48 Why shitty?
05:49 8.5.
05:51 8.5.
05:52 All right, there we go.
05:53 Why is everyone calling him trash Maretz?
05:54 The place has been here 75 years.
05:57 75 years?
05:58 Yeah, this guy here is Schenectady's savage.
06:00 Oh, yeah.
06:01 I just got to eat some of his food.
06:04 Yeah, you did.
06:05 And by the way, that guy is not even about how good the food is.
06:07 That food is 8.5.
06:08 Do you want to go to Mike's?
06:09 Do you like this place?
06:10 This place is great, man.
06:11 I've been here in a while.
06:12 Yeah, all right.
06:13 That's all you got.
06:14 What?
06:15 Talk to him.
06:16 Talk to him.
06:17 I just ate all his food.
06:20 Who?
06:21 Newest has been here for 100.
06:22 They've been here for 75.
06:23 They got a bunch of--
06:24 7.9.
06:25 You got to order a little Italy, too.
06:26 They got a bunch of Italian spots.
06:27 Civitello's is good.
06:28 They've only been here for 100 years.
06:29 All this place is 100 years.
06:30 You got pizza at Civitello's?
06:31 Civitello's got good pizza, yeah.
06:32 All right.
06:33 Looks like you got attacked by a raccoon.
06:40 Literally, it looks like you got attacked by a raccoon.
07:03 It's a raccoon.
07:23 It's a raccoon.
07:24 It's a raccoon.
07:25 It's a raccoon.
07:26 It's a raccoon.
07:26 (upbeat music)
