00:33 And then, yeah, we got on Zoom and I was like,

00:40 Like doing our chemistry read and then meeting in person,
00:43 I was like, oh, he's a cool guy.

00:48 - No, I agree, I'm a cool guy.
00:50 I think the first time I saw you, you were with your mom.
00:54 And I was like, I just remember thinking to myself,

00:57 - Oh, dude. - I'm two years younger

01:02 - What inspired me to start acting?
01:06 I mean, I got to middle school and I auditioned
01:08 for my school musical, "The Wizard of Oz",
01:12 "The Wizard of Tin Man".

01:15 I loved it, like more than anything
01:17 would you do your school shows.
01:19 - Yeah, but it was just 'cause I had a crush on a girl.
01:21 She was like, I'm gonna audition for the musical.
01:25 - And what's the best way to spend time with somebody?
01:28 Like, be in the same musical. - Musical rehearsal.
01:31 - With each other. - It's true.
01:32 - Well, no.
01:37 I believe that I ended up getting one of the leads
01:41 in the show, she didn't get in to the show.
01:45 But it was like, it was just, I was like,
01:46 I only did this for her.

01:49 - Well, this is always a hard question for me
01:52 because I feel like obviously we bring ourselves
01:55 to the character and our own experiences.
01:58 I would say you though, I think.
01:59 But I think like also in the scenes with both of us
02:02 where we get to just play as the characters,
02:05 we both sort of bring ourselves to those.
02:07 - I think the only thing that I know is I know a little bit
02:09 like what you've told me about, you know,
02:11 how you grew up and like in the city and stuff.
02:12 And it's like, I just don't see belly that way.
02:14 You know what I mean?
02:15 I see my difference.
02:16 - What advice do we have for anyone in a love triangle?
02:19 - Dude, get out of that.
02:20 - Run, run the other way.
02:22 - If you're in a love triangle, man,

03:24 I went to the Aries tour with Jenny Han,
03:26 our lovely showrunner and creator of the book and series.
03:30 And it was MetLife night two.
03:33 And for Taylor's surprise songs,
03:34 we got to stand in the pit,
03:36 like right in front of her piano.
03:40 And she played "False God,"
03:42 which is in season one of "Summer I Turned Pretty."
03:44 And afterwards, she just looked at me and Jenny,
03:46 and she was like, "Hi, I love you guys,"
03:48 and did like a little heart.
03:49 And I think I blacked out.
03:52 Like Jenny and I were freaking out.
03:54 It was such an incredible experience,
03:56 and she's such an incredible performer.
03:58 It was just great.
03:59 - Who is more likely to forget their lines?
04:03 I'll say, I don't think either one of us forget our lines.
04:06 What Lola does is more impressive,
04:07 because you got like three times the amount of lines,
04:10 and you never, ever, I don't hear you mess up,

04:14 The only thing I hear is sometimes you'll stumble and go,

04:17 And that's about it, you know?
04:18 That's like, that's it, yeah, no.
04:21 Lola's so talented.
04:22 - How do we pass time between scenes?
04:25 Chess.
04:26 - Chess, we've had a lot of chess.
04:27 - You and Chris, and occasionally I would
04:30 jump in for a game.
04:31 - Yeah, pranks.

04:33 - Yeah, I pull a lot of pranks.
04:35 - Pillow fights.

04:37 - During certain scenes.
04:38 - Playing volleyball sometimes.
04:41 - Walking back and forth to craft tea,
04:42 just like picking up more snacks.
04:45 - One of my favorite things ever on set
04:47 is when it wouldn't be my coverage,
04:49 so I'd be sitting right over here,
04:50 and all I'd hear is, "Cut."
04:52 Lola would walk out and go,
04:54 "Anybody wanna go to crafties?"
04:55 I'd be like, "Yeah, let's go."
04:58 - Do we know each other's celebrity crushes?
04:59 We had this question yesterday,
05:01 and Selena Gomez.
05:02 - Yeah.
05:03 - Selena Gomez is his celebrity crush.
