00:44 and we found we had so much in common.

00:46 Our personalities are super similar.

00:49 The age question came up.

00:53 I was 45 at the time, so I was like,

00:56 you know I'm 45?

00:58 And no, I was 45.

00:59 - 46.

01:02 I said, well how are you doing?

01:02 He said, 23.

01:04 And I was like, whoa, 23!

01:07 That's way too young.

01:09 - I had never been with an older woman before.

01:11 I was a little curious,

01:12 and I happened to change my age range on Hinge,

01:16 the app that we met on.

01:17 She was super cool and just genuine.

01:19 You know, she's more than just like a pretty face.

01:27 - She offered to fly to New York to see me.

01:31 - We both love to travel.

01:32 I never envisioned, and I don't think he did either,

01:34 that this would be a relationship.

01:37 But when we did Miami,

01:39 that's when I realized that I was,

01:41 you know, I had real feelings for him.

01:44 - January of 2021, I came and visited her in Houston,

01:48 where she was living at the time.

01:49 And she asked if I wanted to move in with her.

01:53 - Everything fell into place perfectly

01:54 because I got a remote job that week.

01:57 I got a suitcase and I was like,

01:59 yeah, I'm just going to Houston.

02:01 Like, I just never came back.

02:05 We just put out a silly little video

02:11 of tips for dating a cougar.

02:13 - And I had students.

02:16 They were like, your TikTok is blowing up.

02:20 So I was like, take it down, take it down.

02:22 I'm like, let's just let it hit a million views.

02:24 And she's like, take the video down.

02:26 So we had to take it down.

02:27 We were trying to do more like,

02:32 boyfriend, girlfriend, dating content.

02:34 - His side of the family, they don't accept me.

02:43 And they think that I'm some kind of a cougar,

02:46 grooming him, sexual predator.

02:48 - A lot of people think I'm like a sugar baby.

02:51 I'm not that lucky.

02:52 (laughing)

02:53 That's what I always say.

02:54 - That's not such a big deal on my side of the family.

02:57 They make fun, but they're also, you know,

02:59 they're more, they're respectful of it.

03:01 - I'm reaching that point where I just am like, whatever.

03:03 Like, I'm a man, a grown man.

03:05 This is what I want to do.

03:07 I'm happy with it.

03:08 And that's that.

03:09 We've had lots of ups and downs,

03:11 but I think we're getting, especially very lately,

03:13 we're in a really great place.

03:15 - We're in a good place.

03:15 You should be able to live your life.

03:17 And if you find something so real and so unique

03:21 as what we have, you should not deprive yourself

03:25 of that happiness just because of what other people think.
