00:00 Finally, the identity of Amarco's presidency.
00:03 Because last time, the first one of the question was,
00:07 what is its mission for the country?
00:09 I think the question still remains,
00:10 but I guess entering year two,
00:14 what is its identity as president?
00:16 Dwight mentioned this earlier,
00:18 it is clearly a concern,
00:21 the administration is slowly but surely
00:28 rehabilitating or erasing the reality
00:32 of the first Marcos presidency
00:34 or the harsh truth of the first Marcos presidency.
00:37 But at the same time, you wonder,
00:39 what is the identity of Marcos Jr.?
00:42 He can't just be Marcos Jr., the son of the dictator.
00:46 I'm sure as a person and as a president,
00:48 he wants to craft his own image.
00:50 And I think a lot of experts are saying
00:52 that he hasn't yet been able to do this,
00:55 partly because of the coalitions
00:57 that propped him into Malacanang
01:00 that boosted him straight into the highest position
01:04 in the Philippines.
01:05 So that will be interesting where that goes.
01:09 If we'll see being more assertive
01:13 or more distinctive in the second year,
01:16 will he use this on as an opportunity
01:19 to bring back hard launch,
01:22 that identity of the second Marcos president.
01:25 So those are things that are going through my mind.
01:27 And also to touch on identity and economy.
01:31 He's been traveling a lot.
01:32 In fact, after tomorrow, on the 25th,
01:36 he flies to Malaysia for a state visit.
01:39 He's been traveling all over the world.
01:41 In 2023 alone, Malaysia will be the sixth country
01:45 that he'll visit.
01:47 This year, he's been to the US,
01:48 he's been to Japan, China, he's been to Switzerland.
01:52 So the pressure there obviously is,
01:54 what will the Philippines get from that?
01:56 And again, it also ties to inflation, right?
01:59 Like if he's traveling, costs obviously are high
02:03 whenever a president travels,
02:04 not just president Marcos, but any president who travels,
02:07 that incurs a lot of costs.
02:09 So I know your ROI,
02:10 'cause he has been highlighting that,
02:13 don't focus now on the travel,
02:14 focus on the potential ROI of these trips.
02:17 And where is that ROI?
02:19 So the first year, you might argue,
02:22 honeymoon period,
02:24 for the Marcos administration.
02:26 Year two, I'm not sure if the honeymoon will extend
02:29 to more than 12 months.
02:31 We will see how he'll do on that trip.
