Tramlines 2023: Music festival is go, go, go despite typical Sheffield rain and wind

Tramlines 2023 is underway. Music fans have come from far and wide to enjoy Sheffield's popular festival.  The Star's Chloe Aslett has been reporting on Day 1 of Tramlines from Hillsborough park.

00:00 We're here at tramlines, day one is going well so far.

00:02 There was torrential rain for about half an hour or so.

00:05 So it looks like everyone has had the same idea as us

00:09 and moved into the comedy tent because it's sucking it down.

00:12 I actually saw one girl bringing out her jumper.

00:14 But since then, it's got a lot busier.

00:17 The ponchos are off and the bucket hats are on,

00:19 which is always a good sign.

00:21 There's finally a massive crowd at the main stage

00:22 and in the comedy stage as well.

00:24 You can tell that despite the torrential rain,

00:26 no one's spirits have been dampened

00:27 and we're off to a good start so far this weekend.
