00:07 Because during the minor strike in '84 I was with a theatre company, Theatre West Glamorgan,

00:19 and we travelled the South Wales Valleys then and you saw the impact it had.

00:29 I think it really shook me, that community spirit, the women that were on the picket

00:36 line that were never shown, because Thatcher didn't want anybody to see any women on the

00:45 picket line, because they would sympathise with them. So the press were given a direct

00:51 thing, no women to be shown at all, only minors fighting. So it was quite interesting.

00:59 I hope that they take that feeling they had back in '89, you know, some people might

01:06 have said, "Oh, you know, best thing ever happened to them," and others could be quite

01:11 angry and others could be quite passionate about it. And hopefully for the younger generation

01:17 it will be something, "Oh my goodness, how dare they? Why did they do that?" So that

01:24 they can question something. So I hope that they'll, even though they'll enjoy it, I

01:30 hope they will question it as well.

01:32 Come and see it because it works on so many different levels. It works on a political

01:39 level, it works on a good theatre level, it works on, it's a good night out because

01:50 it's, you know, the humour is in it. Yeah, it's a very rounded production and you can
