Nimbus and Campanule - Let It Snow

'Nimbus and Campanule' is an animation series mixing real life video with 2D animation. The animation technique is the same as the one used by Winsor McCay, Walt Disney, Chuck Jones, Tex Avery, Paul Grimault, Wan Laiming, Bill Plympton, Hayao Miyazaki... and many others before the advent of digital animation: frame by frame animation, hand drawn and hand colored.
Although digital animation has brought to us magnificent works, at Confuse-the-Cat Studio we still believe in the future of hand-drawn 2D animation.
We believe animation is an art and as such animators' personal styles have artistic value even if it means that the characters don't quite look the same from one episode to another.
We enjoy drawing Nimbus the Pegasus and Campanule the Unicorn and we hope you will feel this joy in our videos.
