00:06 Repower Italia, one of the main suppliers of natural gas and electricity in our country,
00:12 presented the Sustainability 2020 report.
00:15 The vision on the sustainability of the group is part of the strategic planning
00:19 that aims to bring value to stakeholders,
00:21 generate positive environmental and social impacts,
00:23 and increase competitiveness and profitability over the long term.
00:27 To define a concept as the sustainable one,
00:30 Repower was inspired by a phrase attributed to Mozart.
00:33 "Three things are important for a good pianist, head, fingers and heart."
00:37 This phrase metaphorically recalls the three elements of sustainability.
00:41 The head represents the coherence of investment in economic terms,
00:44 therefore the governance.
00:45 The fingers represent competence,
00:47 especially in terms of environmental impact.
00:49 And the heart refers to man and the community in which each intervention is inserted.
00:54 Our Sustainability report, written in a voluntary way,
00:57 includes these three ISG words,
01:00 and adds a fourth one that differentiates us a lot from the world of utilities we operate in.
01:05 The fourth element is beauty.
01:07 Giving beauty through our projects is part of the approach of Repower to sustainability.
01:12 Two particularly important aspects for Repower
01:15 are the projects in support of local communities
01:17 and the scientific approach to environmental issues.
01:20 14 are the social projects supported by Repower in 2022.
01:24 In this area, we have two drivers.
01:26 Active listening of the territory to be always responsive
01:29 to the emergencies that sometimes occur,
01:31 and maintenance in the time of commitment.
01:34 A good example in this direction is the La Mano inn,
01:37 a place in the Sempione Park
01:39 that takes in and returns to the boys affected by Down syndrome,
01:43 and which just turned 10 last week.
01:46 The other important aspect is the scientific approach to environmental issues.
01:50 The timely knowledge of the direct, indirect and also along the value chain
01:55 is essential to start a path of continuous improvement.
02:00 Repower has chosen to entrust to a third party
02:03 this scientific assessment of its missions.
02:05 The active commitment of Repower to containing its environmental impact
02:09 is realized both on the front of energy efficiency
02:12 through the entry into new businesses
02:14 related to energy efficiency services, but also electrical mobility,
02:18 and naturally on the front of energy production
02:20 through the continuous expansion of the renewable production park.
02:24 From the point of view of governance,
02:26 in 2023 the figure of the Sustainability Responsible was established
02:30 and also of the Sustainability Committee,
02:32 a committee whose task is to support the CDA on all ISC issues.
