How to Insert Graphs into Your Keynote Presentation

00:00 Hey there, let's take a look at how to insert graphs into your keynote presentation.

00:05 So, if you want to insert a page with a graph, all you have to do is go up,

00:09 click the "Add Slide" button, as you would normally do.

00:13 I am in the orange section, so I'm going to scroll all the way down to the orange slides,

00:18 and then choose the slide that fits my need the most.

00:20 As you're going to see, some pages are named after a graph, such as right graph, left graph.

00:28 You are not obligated to use them to insert a graph in your presentation,

00:31 but we recommend you to do so because they are just the right size, and you're going to see why.

00:37 So, I'm going to choose today, "left graph".

00:39 There you go.

00:40 You can fill all your information, and now we need a graph here.

00:44 Just like with the tables, Keynote doesn't allow us to create default

00:50 versions of graphs in the team.

00:53 So, to resolve this, we did just like the tables, and we made some for you in the presentation kit

01:01 If you do not have this file yet, we highly encourage you to go download it in our branding

01:06 guideline website, and then open it, go to the visual elements section, scroll a bit,

01:12 and then you're going to see all of those graphs here that are pre-made for you.

01:16 In this case, let's say I want a line graph.

01:19 So, I'm going to come here, I'm going to select it,

01:22 I'm going to copy, go back to my file, and then paste it here.

01:28 And there you go.

01:30 Then you can move it for it to fit your page a bit better.

01:35 Maybe I won't need this title anymore, so if you don't need it, delete it,

01:39 and then I'm going to move it like this.

01:42 And there you have it.

01:43 If you want to edit a graph in Keynote, all you have to do is click once on it,

01:49 and then go to "edit chart".

01:51 From here, you're going to be able to change all the variables you see here.

01:55 If you need to add some more, you can just do like normal tables in Keynote.

02:01 So, you click the little arrow at the top, and then you can insert a column

02:05 before, after, or delete it.

02:08 And you can do the same with the rows.

02:11 So, let's say I want to keep those data, but I would like to change the color

02:17 because I'm not in a pink chapter, now I'm in the orange-yellow one.

02:20 So, I'm going to click the graph, and I'm going to click again to select the line.

02:25 From here, I go to "format", "chart", oh, "style", sorry.

02:31 And from here, you can change the color of the line and the color of the little dots on it.

02:38 Of course, we recommend using the same color for both.

02:40 You can find all of those color codes in the presentation kit file.

02:47 I won't cover it, but you can go explore.

02:49 And then here, let's say this one is going to be a yellow one.

02:52 So, I'm going to change the line for this, and then click this, and I'm going to do that.

02:58 And I can do the same with the red, but I'm going to put orange instead.

03:03 So, click back, click back, and go here, and put orange.

03:10 You can do the same for every text.

03:12 So, you would go to "format", "text", and then you put the right color.

03:17 Here, it's orange, and here, I click.

03:20 I need to click back on "color", and I put the yellow one.

03:25 And there you have it.

03:26 Those elements have been added to the site to emphasis, maybe, or put specific data.

03:33 If you do not need them, you can delete them.

03:36 No worries.

03:37 And then you can change the text everywhere you need.
