How to Insert and Customize Video Files in Your PowerPoint Presentation

00:00 Here, I'll show you how to insert a video file and customize its size.

00:06 So let's get started.

00:07 So to add a video, you go into the Insert tab over here into the menu.

00:13 Then on the right, you'll see the video.

00:15 Simply click on it and select Movie from File.

00:20 And from there, you can browse your computer to find the set video that you want to import.

00:26 So simply double click on it.

00:28 It will appear in the page, most likely in full size.

00:32 And then you can resize it to your liking.

00:36 So let's say here I want to put it into the MacBook here.

00:39 So I'll resize it here.

00:44 And it goes off page, so it's all right with me here.

00:49 However, if you need to fit it into a small video or specific area, you can explore cropping

00:57 So here we'll go into an iPad example.

01:01 Click on the Insert menu, go to Video, Movie from File, select the video, we'll import

01:07 it to the page.

01:10 I will resize it to the size of the iPad.

01:15 And I will center it as much as I can here.

01:22 And then I'll click on the crop button here up top into the Video Format menu.

01:26 And I'll use these handles here and I'll crop it so it can fit into the iPad.

01:33 You can always move the video inside the crop part if you want it centered or not.

01:41 Here I want it centered, so I'll keep it here.

01:45 And that's how you crop the video to your liking.

01:52 Once you've resized the video, you can review it within the slide.

01:56 Simply hover over the video and click on the play down here.

02:02 And then you can move inside here to the desired part.

02:11 You can go down here into the slide show button here and simply preview it in full screen
