Amazon.com Inc's ($AMZN@US) cloud computing unit, Amazon Web Services (AWS), has announced plans to invest 1.06 trillion rupees ($13 billion) in India by the decade's end. The investment is aimed at expanding AWS's cloud infrastructure in India and meeting the growing demand for cloud services in one of Asia's fastest-growing economies. It is expected to create over 100,000 full-time jobs annually. It follows Amazon's previous $6.5 billion investment in e-commerce in India. The move aligns with India's efforts to attract more investments in the digital sector and addresses the increasing demand for data storage and services from corporate and government entities
