#16. Former BFF Stories!

  • last year
*I do curse in this. Mayday. I DO CURSE IN THIS.
1. Some people want to be the first to share information on someone to be popular, at someone else's expense. Make sure you get the WHOLE story and then draw your conclusions. You may find that the person that's gossiping about others to you are talking about you behind your back, too.
2. Do I hang out with friends I went to school with. Yes and no. It depends. If they were toxic I stay away. I find that the friends I met later in life are better to me.
2a. You realize how mean some people are.
3. Some people do change and realize the error of their ways, others are just sorry that what they did to you didn't get under your skin the way they wanted it to. There's a wisdom to knowing the difference.
3a. Be careful who you let in your circles. Toxic people and energy can be the reason you're not as successful as you like to be or want to be. That's why they always say you are the average of the 5 people who you hang around with; The people you surround yourself with, you become. We are all energy. If you subject yourself to peers who are negative, insecure or destructive, it will affect you. Regardless of your strength as an individual, you are not immune to a constant surrounding of negative energy or bad influence. Not only are you the average of the FIVE people you surround with, it’s way bigger than that. You’re the average of all the people who surround you. So take a look around and make sure you’re in the right surroundings.
3b. The dream in your heart may be bigger than the environment in which you find yourself. Sometimes you have to get out of that environment to see that dream fulfilled. It’s a fact of life that some people hold us back, while others propel us forward. For example: For example, you might have a set of friends who are fun and who you enjoy getting lunch with, but they might not understand your goals and desires. As a result, they're more likely to be a fun diversion from your business than an engine that pushes it forward.
4. If you are watching this and you are dealing with mean grade school, h.s. or college girls (or even a toxic work place) it's just a phase. At some point you won't ever have to see these people ever again. As an adult it's bad that bullying still happens but it does.
5. Just because you got it going on doesn't mean you have to be a doormat for anyone. Nor should people make you feel bad for the success you are experiencing. Maybe you can in turn be an inspiration for them to have successes in their own life. Go forth and keep experiencing abundance.
6. Some friendships and relationships are not meant to last forever. Some only last for a season and a reason. Some people you haven't seen for years and you can pick up right where you left off.
7. As black people we should look out for each other more, some of us don't. And stop hating! It exists out here because I've seen it happen. In my earlier years many sistas tried to kick me down, which sucks!
