Hillman Imp event marks 60th anniversary of production.

Enthusiasts gather for the 60th anniversary of the production of the first Hillman Imp car.

The special event saw an assembly of vintage cars produced by Linwood's old car factory on display.

Now home to the St James Business Centre, the site opened in 1963 as a Rootes plant and was later taken over by Chrysler before being sold to Peugeot Talbot.

The Rootes plant was famous for producing the Hillman Imp - a revolutionary small car which went into production when the factory opened.
