This guy came up with the idea of building a custom wooden table to keep his daughter's construction toys organized. He first created a tabletop by attaching a sheet of construction blocks to a wooden board. Next, he built a frame to store the construction blocks and attached legs to create a structure. At last, he secured the table top and finished. It looked fantastic and well-organized once it was ready.

00:00I'm getting ready to glue this down with just wood glue.
00:23I put these blocks in just because I wanted to make sure they were going to work and they
00:28weren't misaligned after the glue dried.
00:59Just a couple of things I wanted to point out.
01:02When I did the glue up for the bricks, the panels, I used some of these flat bricks to
01:09help align everything so when it's drying they would be able to use the space in between
01:16and the bricks should be able to still connect.
01:19Hopefully.
01:20You just saw me cut these strips.
01:22I'm going to explain really quick what they're for.
01:25I'm making bins for the outside of the tabletop.
01:29These are going to be the front.
01:32These are going to be the bottom of the inside and these are going to be the back.
01:39Basically building troughs for the Legos to be in and I wanted the front a little lower
01:46than the back.
01:47It should be about half the distance.
02:55I'm getting ready to assemble the short boxes on the sides of the Lego table.
03:24It's just like the other boxes I made so I'm going to skip over that.
05:24I'm about to add cleats to the bottom here for the panel.
05:33The bottom panel.
05:35Then I'm going to add cleats for the panel that has the Lego bricks on it.
05:54There we go.
06:24I was thinking how I'm going to take this top and make it removable.
06:40I was going to cut a hole in it.
06:42What I think I'm going to do is just drill a hole here that I can push out from the inside.
06:55Alright, next I'm going to sand everything.
06:59Try to get it smooth before I work on the legs and clear coat everything.
07:15I will be cutting the legs out of the 3x4s.
07:19So this part of the video is just going to be cutting the legs.
07:36I'm going to be putting a taper on the legs with this tapering jig that I made a few years ago.
07:49I'm going to be cutting the legs out of the 3x4s.
08:19I'm going to be cutting the legs out of the 3x4s.
08:49Alright, I'm getting started to put the polyurethane on the Lego table.
09:03If you're interested, I will have a link in the description below of a video that I'm going to go over this polyurethane.
09:19I'm going to be cutting the legs out of the 3x4s.
