We Tried Making Beef Wellington

  • last year
Have a gourmet meal at home without breaking the bank at a fancy restaurant. In this video, Annie tries out a beef Wellington recipe. First, spread 2 tablespoons of softened butter over the tenderloin and cook it in a 425 degree oven for 15 minutes to brown it. Next, melt two tablespoons of butter in a skillet and sautee sliced onion and mushrooms. Afterwards, mix together liver pate and softened butter with a little salt and pepper. Apply the liver pate and butter mixture along with the sauteed vegetables over the tenderloin before sealing and tucking it in a thawed puff pastry. Now, cut slits into the pastry and brush with egg wash before placing it into a 450 degree oven. After 10 minutes, bump it down to 425 degrees and bake for an additional 15 minutes until done. Finally, stir the pan juices over high heat with beef broth and red wine until it’s slightly reduced, strain it, and serve it with the tender and juicy beef Wellington!
