Forum Theater at Comores Islands

The video shows games and preparation to a forum in Caltex and the different forums we would improvise everyday. This scene has been created with youngsters in Comoro to stage their relation to the je viens (I come) the one that lives abroad, supposedly amidst richness and that has thus to make huge presents to everybody. Lots of je viens dont come anymore overwhelmed by the costs of the presents they have to make. This forum was hence a question: what relation should be build with those who have gone and come back? What should the je viens bring? The same project took place in Marseille with the Comorian community and especially with youngsters who have renounced to their country. The forum of Marseille, and its questions, where played in Comoro. The Comorian plays where played in July when all je viens are around.

Il primo video mostra i giochi e la preparazione a un forum nel quartiere di Caltex. Il secondo video mostra i diversi forum che si improvvisavano ogni giorno nei diversi quartieri. Questa scena è stata creata con i giovani delle isole Comore e mostra il loro rapporto al je viens (vengo), quello che vive al estero, si suppone nella più grande ricchezza, e che quindi DEVE fare enormi regali a tutti. Molti je viens ora non vengono più per scappare a questo costoso dover. Il forum era quindi una domanda: che relazione se deve costruire con quelli che sono partiti e tornano? Quale sono le cose fondamentale che deve portare il je viens? Lo stesso progetto è stato realizzato a Marsiglia con la comunità Comoriana e particolarmente con giovani che hanno rinunciato a tornare al loro paese. Il forum di Marsiglia, con le sue domande, è stato presentato in Comore. Le scene Comoriane furono presentate in luglio quando tutti gli je viens ci stanno...
