Confessions of a Sketch Artist

Mr. Sketch Artist please get out your notepads
I have an emergency for you to draw
The people around me are gathering in scads
I need you to get right every detail of their jaw

She was a long blonde-haired woman or could’ve been
She had a black hat holding her fists at her chest
She’d never let her house be full of men
She was staring out the window like she was obsessed

Her hair was cut down to the skull
But she hid it under the fabric of her cap
Her eyes played against anything dull
Between her front teeth there was a slight gap

Her black hair was stacked up rather thick and high
She has the biggest eyelashes I’ve ever seen
She’s got a naked tattoo of herself on her thigh
She changes everyday just to appear queen

Mr. Sketch Artist please get out your notepads
I have an emergency for you to draw
The people around me are gathering in scads
I need you to get right every detail of their jaw
