--- Tools and Materials:
* Necklaces created in Loops, Spikes, Single Line, Double Line, and Drapes are about 15 inches in length. To make longer necklaces, just increase the number of balls in the 5 ball chain lengths, or add additional chain/connector "sections" as necessary. * Bracelets created in Armored Chain, Braided Band, and Multi-Braided Band are approximately 8 inches in length - to increase or decrease length, just add or subtract chain pieces and connectors/pendants as necessary. * If you're making several items I'd recommend wearing thin protective gloves.
--- Loops
- 64 of #6 ball chain couplings, type “D” - 31 lengths of #6 chain with 3 balls - 30 lengths of #6 chain with 8 or 9 balls each - 2 lengths of #6 chain with 5 balls - Heavy duty wire cutter
--- Spikes
- 64 of #6 ball chain couplings, type “D” - 31 lengths of #6 chain with 3 balls - 30 lengths of #6 chain with 9 balls - 2 lengths of #6 chain with 5 balls - 30 1/2 inch tree spikes - Heavy duty wire cutter
* Spectral Spike necklace uses #10 connectors (1 Nickel, 9 Red, 10 Purple, 9 Blue, 9 Green, 8 Yellow, 8 Orange), #10 chain (26 with 3 balls, 2 with 5 balls), #6 chain (25 with 9 balls), and 25 1/2 inch tree spikes.
--- Single Line
- 64 of #6 ball chain couplings, type “D” - 31 lengths of #6 chain with 3 balls - 30 pendants (or 30 of whichever connectors you prefer) - 30 lengths of #6 chain with 4 balls (3 if using connectors) - 2 lengths of #6 chain with 5 balls - Heavy duty wire cutter
--- Double Line
- 64 of #6 ball chain couplings, type “D” - 31 lengths of #6 chain with 3 balls - 30 pendants for upper row (or 30 connectors) - 30 pendants for lower row (or 30 connectors) - 60 lengths of #6 chain with 4 balls (3 if using connectors) - 2 lengths of #6 chain with 5 balls - Heavy duty wire cutter
--- Braided Band
- 42 of #6 ball chain couplings, type “D” - 42 lengths of #6 chain with 3 balls - Heavy duty wire cutter - Round-nose pliers (optional)
--- Multi-Braided Band
- 84 of #6 ball chain couplings, type “D” - 84 lengths of #6 chain with 3 balls - Heavy duty wire cutter - Round-nose pliers
--- Drapes
- 64 of #6 ball chain couplings, type “D” - 31 lengths of #6 chain with 3 balls - 26 lengths of #6 chain with 18 balls - 2 lengths of #6 chain with 5 balls - Heavy duty wire cutter - Round-nose pliers
--- Tube
- 288 of #6 ball chain couplings, type “D” - 288 lengths of #6 chain with 3 balls - Heavy duty wire cutter - Round-nose pliers - Masking tape - Flat-nose pliers (optional) - Gloves (optional, but recommended)
