Recorded in the kitchen above the Choke Monkey Lounge before it was built. I'm playing everything but bass. That was trusty Milton Gore on bass. I did the video in 2022.
A song about a down and out used-to-be-famous rock and roller. I had Clapton in mind when I wrote it, but the man jumped out of that frying pan and has lived an amazing life without drugs and alcohol for decades now.
I always loved the darkness about this song. I love how the bass, lead guitar and drums paint such an interesting picture of depression and loneliness, not that loneliness and depression are great. They are not.
The photos in the video worked out really well, too. One of my all-time favorite tunes.
