Plot: Elmo tries on different pretend ears. A video montage displays children's ears. Dorothy has a decoration of a goldfish with ears in her fish bowl. She wants to know how you wiggle your ears. Mr. Noodle's brother Mr. Noodle wiggles his nose, toes and entire head. He finally wiggles his ears by donning a pair of earmuffs with ear-shaped muffs on springs. Kids wiggle their ears with and without their fingers. Elmo asks a baby wearing earrings. The Elephant, wearing a top hat and tuxedo front, sings "Do Your Ears Hang Low." Elmo asks the viewer to help him count popcorn popping in a CG popper. Elmo asks yes or no questions about things you can hear with your ears. Elmo plays a violin and Cookie Monster eats a cookie to demonstrate activities which can be heard. Elmo's friend Emily has a playdate with her deaf friend Alex. He lipreads while they play Go Fish, his mother signs to him at snack time, and he feels the beat to dance. During the TV portion, Elmo is introduced to "rabbit ears." The Ear Channel shows "The Boy Who Loved His Dog's Ears." Coming up next: The Best Ears of Our Lives, followed by My Favorite Ear. Elmo talks to a dog-eared Book titled "Animals and Their Ears." The pop-up image of a bunny causes Tickle Me Land to take over. Dorothy imagines Elmo as a singing bunny, a cat and a mouse. At the end of the mouse's appearance, the cat chases the mouse across the screen several times, eventually passing the sleeping bunny.
