What is the GRE exam?
The GRE General Test is one of the world's largest assessment programs for Graduate Admissions and it is conducted by the Educational Testing Service also known as ETS. 2. What are the types of GRE exams?

They are two types of GRE Exam:
GRE General Test
GRE Subject Test
The GRE General Test: The GRE General Test is designed to measure a test taker’s ability in Verbal Reasoning, Analytical Writing, Critical Thinking, and Quantitative Reasoning Skills.

The GRE Subject Test : The GRE subject test is taken by candidates to get enrollment in specialized or technical courses. The subject test evaluates a candidate’s knowledge of a specific subject. The different subjects for which the GRE subject test is given are Chemistry, Maths, Physics, and Psychology.

3. What is the GRE Syllabus?
The GRE syllabus has 3 sections namely
1. Analytical writing 2. Verbal reasoning 3. Quantitative reasoning
Analytical writing: The Analytical Writing section has 2 sub-sections:
Issue Task: a candidate gets 30 mins to write an essay on a particular topic.
Argument Task: the test taker critically analyzes a given argument through an essay within a time frame of 30 mins.

Verbal reasoning: Verbal Reasoning has 4 sub-sections:

4 Sentence Equivalence Questions
6 Text Completion Questions
10 Reading Comprehension Questions
20 Total Questions per Section


Quantitative Reasoning: The Quantitative Reasoning section has 2 sub-sections:
Quantitative Comparison: Quantitative comparison includes questions that require you to compare two quantities and identify their relationship.
Problem Solving: the questions involve multiple-choice questions and data interpretation
