from a window at a Moscow hospital.
The death of Ravil Maganov, the chair of the board of directors of Lukoil, comes just months after his company criticized the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

According to the Interfax news agency, Maganov , “fell from a window at Central clinical
hospital. He died from injuries sustained.".
Meanwhile, Lukoil released a statement claiming that Maganov had , “passed away following a severe illness.”.
'The Guardian' reports that it remains
unclear whether his death was an accident,
a suicide or the result of foul play.
Russian state media reports that an unnamed source claims Maganov had been admitted to the hospital
with a heart condition and was taking antidepressants.
According to Russian news site Baza, Maganov may have slipped
from a balcony while smoking, but no CCTV footage was
captured because cameras had been turned off for repairs.
'The Guardian' reports that six businesspeople with ties to the Russian energy sector have died in apparent suicides or under mysterious circumstances since the beginning of the war in Ukraine.
None of those deaths have
been classified as murders.

elite and a close associate of one of Lukoil’s founders,
