Hot Water System Flush & Anode Replacement

Hey guys. Matti here from Gold Coast Plumbing Experts. I'd just like to share with you some information that you may not already know regarding hot water systems. I'll just show you what we've got going on at the moment. We're flushing the line on this Rheem 325 heat pump.

We've used our transfer pump to remove all debris. Anything sitting at the bottom of the tank, that's no good. And we'll flush that through and we've removed the existing anode. As you can see, it's completely corroded, not really doing its job anymore. And all this sits at the bottom of the tank, which is not good. So we've gone ahead and picked up a brand new anode. We'll get this installed that way, way the tanks getting protected and no impurities are in the line.
