Sharon Horgan on how women’s stories get on TV today

There is more variety than ever of TV show that center on female characters. Sharon Horgan, co-creator of “Shining Vale,” a horror-comedy on Starz,” tells Salon that this wasn’t always the case. “It used to be like you’d get one female story on and they’d go, ‘Ok we got our girl stuff now. Everyone just has to go back in their corner.’ Now it’s not seen as its own genre, female comedy or drama.”
