Edit for headphones, December 2021. Edit of a song from the 1976 album "Welcome Back". The album's name is related to John Sebastian's great hit single "Welcome Back". Sebastian recalled the story of the song to Uncut magazine June 2014: "I got a call from a guy called Alan Sacks from Brooklyn, who was writing a TV show with Gabe Kaplan. I saw a pilot and read some early scripts, and went away thinking, 'I could hit this out of the park!' I came back with this song "Welcome Back", and their reaction was to change the name of the show from "Kotter" to "Welcome Back, Kotter".

Maybe I gave it a bit too much bass, but, that's because I wanted to FEEL the bass in my head...

HIDEAWAY
(John Sebastian)

watchin' from her basement window
people's feet goin' by
hidin' away, my favorite buddy and I
people walking by outside
don't even know we're around
but we're livin' in our own
little piece of this world
in a clubhouse underground

hideaway, come on along and hideaway
hideaway, in our own little hideaway

we can get a chance
to talk about a romance or two
this is the place
I'll meet you here after school

and I can ask a secret question
I've been wanting to know
and you can hideaway until you're ready
to let your feelings show

hideaway, come on along and hideaway
hideaway, in our own little hideaway

and I can ask a secret question
I've been wanting to know
and you can hideaway until you're ready
to let your feelings show

hideaway, come on along and hideaway
hideaway, in our own little hideaway
hideaway, come on along and hideaway
hideaway, in our own little hideaway
hideaway, come on along and hideaway
hideaway, in our own little hideaway
hideaway
