Qld govt grants oil and gas leases in Channel Country

The Lake Eyre Basin spans more than 120 million hectares across four states and territories and is one of the last remaining free-flowing river systems in the world. Now the ABC can reveal that the Queensland government has quietly granted petroleum leases to a gas company that could see fracking in the channel country for the first time.
