Demolition of final Chimney in Kingsnorth Power station marks end of an era for coal power

The final chimney at Kingsnorth Power station in Rochester was demolished today, marking the end of an era for coal power.

The 650ft chimney came down, as the local MP Kelly Tolhurst pressed the detonator, changing the Medway skyline forever.
