'What seems to be a gripping scene straight out of an action-packed, alien invasion movie is actually the breathtaking aftermath of a transformer explosion.
Footage filmed by Jonah Lesnick shows flashing blue and green lights taking over the sky above Queens, NYC following the said explosion.
"It was taken in Washington Heights, NYC," the filmer wrote. "A transformer exploded in Queens at night (or did it?) and this was the stunning view from my apartment. Indeed a spectacular sight it was."
The filmer jokingly stated that the visual of the glowing sky could very well be evidence of a UFO invasion instead of an electrical accident.
