Microsoft ($MSFT@US) started rolling out its first major Windows update in six years yesterday. Windows 11 is now available as a free download to existing Windows users depending on the hardware and age of their PC device. Users will be notified when they are eligible for the update from now through mid-2022. Windows 11 features notable design changes like a new interface, Start menu and personalized Widgets feed powered by artificial intelligence. Other updates are geared toward providing more flexibility, such as more multitasking tools, support for Android mobile apps and an integration with Microsoft Teams, the company’s workplace chat and video conferencing app.
